Resumen

The goal of this paper is to summarize key points from the 11th WIPO discussion about artificial intelligence (AI), held in April 2025. The conversation theme was “Infrastructure for Rights Holders and Innovation,” which is of particular interest to intellectual property. Key areas discussed included the evolution of copyright infrastructure, handling of training data, respecting rights holders' preferences, tracking and labeling AI outputs, and issues of compensation and rights application. The discussion also covered regulatory developments, related Codes of Practice, and their implications for copyright, transparency, and rights management.
