Resumo

The goal of this paper is to summarize key points from the 11th WIPO discussion about artificial intelligence (AI), held in April 2025. The conversation theme was “Infrastructure for Rights Holders and Innovation,” which is of particular interest to intellectual property. Key areas discussed included the evolution of copyright infrastructure, handling of training data, respecting rights holders' preferences, tracking and labeling AI outputs, and issues of compensation and rights application. The discussion also covered regulatory developments, related Codes of Practice, and their implications for copyright, transparency, and rights management. The paper provides a summary of the conversation’s results and outlines remaining issues. This is part of the author’s research on AI and property rights systems.
