Abstract

This study investigates how scientific expeditions aimed at cataloging bioeconomy productions in the interior regions of the Legal Amazon will be more effective in disseminating and popularizing science in the region, and how they can promote sustainable development through the valorization of traditional knowledge and conservation environmental. The research proposes the integration of scientific data with knowledge from indigenous peoples and traditional communities, using collaborative methodologies that overcome taxonomic and spatial biases. The article highlights that the development of a Territory Access Plan and a Regional Collections Incorporation Plan are essential for the preservation and dissemination of collected information. Furthermore, the use of emerging technologies, such as remote sensing, and the creation of a collaborative digital platform are fundamental to democratizing access to knowledge and strengthening the Science, Technology and Innovation (ST&I) System. The main objective is to demonstrate that scientific expeditions in the Legal Amazon, focused on the bioeconomy, aim to strengthen CT&I in the region, facing research challenges and ensuring ethical access and preservation of data through specific plans.
