Review of the article titled “To Understand God in Spinoza as Nature”

Abstract

This is a review of the article entitled “To Understand God in Spinoza as Nature.” The article was written by Jonas Rodrigo Gonçalves and published in the Journal Processus of Studies in Management, Legal and Financial Fields, Year X, Vol. X, No. 38, Apr./Jun., 2019. The work aims to make evident the concept of God in Spinoza as Nature, analyzing the book Ethics and confronting interpretations of authors such as Deleuze, Ferreira, Pereira, Ponczek, and Tadeu. The research, theoretical in nature and based on literature review methodology, seeks to understand how Spinoza constructs the concept of God as an immanent substance and cause of itself. The publication is relevant for presenting an immanent God, different from the transcendent one of Western Christian morality.
