  1. Focus and Scope

The Processus Faculty, with great pride, presents the journal Processus Multidisciplinary Magazine. In this scientific journal, scientific articles or literature review articles by doctors and academics from Brazil and the world are published. The journal is inter and multidisciplinary, having as main areas: Political Science, Law and Sociology. This electronic scientific journal is published every six months, having two issues per year, and is registered with ISSN Online: 2675-6595 . The Processus Faculty makes the Processus Multidisciplinary Journal available to the academic community and society in general. All biannual editions (January-June; July-December) are available in the electronic version, free of charge, without any profit motive, and can be accessed on the Institutional website of the Processus Faculty and/or on the website of the Processus Multidisciplinary Journal .

The " Multidisciplinary Processus Journal " has the mission to contribute to the evolution of knowledge in the field of inter and multidisciplinary, involving scientific knowledge of the themes of Political Science, Law and Sociology, contemplating aspects related to social and business organizations, public and private, and other issues of social importance. The objective of this journal is to disseminate the scientific production of students and professors around the world, also being accessible to researchers from other institutions in Brazil and abroad, which contribute to promoting the debate of ideas and stimulating scientific research.

Aiming also to maintain the social dialogue always carried out by Faculdade Processus, the journal will also disseminate studies, interviews and research developed within the scope of extension activities, in which the partnership between the Institution and the community becomes increasingly more intense, enabling a real integration between the academic community and society in general. The “ Multidisciplinary Processus Journal ” may add, in addition to the normal editions, thematic and special issues, as extra issues, incorporating new sections, according to the unfolding of the editorial policy. Both the Editorial Board of the Journal (Editorial Policy Committee) and the Scientific Technical Body ( Reviewers ) are exogenously composed of higher education professors from several universities, university centers and faculties, involving course coordinators and researchers. The Institution hopes that this publication will become a dynamic instrument for reflection and debate, contributing to the solution of social problems.

The Processus Multidisciplinary Journal is a biannual journal. The journal follows the continuous flow system for receiving submissions.

  1. Peer Review Process

Scientific articles, literature review articles, case reports, brief communications, and other articles that are related to the Journal's dissemination objectives will be accepted for evaluation by the editorial/consulting committee, being one of the authors with a master's degree or doctor. The material is sent to consultants and reviewers, who will decide on the convenience of publication, in whole or in part, forwarding suggestions and possible corrections to the author. The Processus Multidisciplinary Journal adopts the " double double " system as an evaluation policy. blind peer review ”, promoted by members of its body of evaluators, registered on the magazine's website. Submitted texts undergo an initial formal evaluation by the editorial team, which may request corrections and additions. Texts that do not fall within the scope of the Journal, that do not meet mandatory requirements will be archived.

  1. 1. The publication of articles is subject to the double procedure blind peer review .
  2. 2. The works are sent without identification of authorship to two "ad hoc" referees holding the title of Doctor, linked to the Journal Processus Multidisciplinary
  3. 3. In case of controversy between the reviewers, the article is submitted to a third reviewer.
  4. 4. The referees are always Professors Doctors affiliated to renowned national and foreign higher education institutions.
  5. 5. The criteria used in the evaluation form are as follows:
  6. a) Is the reviewer able to evaluate the article because there is no conflict of interest?
  7. b) Does the title clearly and sufficiently reflect the content of the article?
  8. c) Does the article comply with the methodological norms of the journal?
  9. d) Does the article present a scientific analysis on the topic?
  10. e) Is there coherence and logic in the development of the theme?
  11. f) Do the conclusions correspond to the research premises?
  12. g) Are the bibliographic references sufficient, adequate and up-to-date?
  13. h) Are the concepts used throughout the text, in general, correct?
  14. i) Does the content comply with the criteria of non-publication of prejudice and/or defamation and slander that harm the integrity of the readers and/or individuals cited?
  15. j) Use this space to make general or specific comments that you deem relevant.
  16. The possible outcomes of the evaluation process are as follows:
  17. a) Article without scientific content restrictions; may be accepted for publication.
  18. b) Article with minor restrictions; may be accepted upon review by the author; no further technical advice is required.
  19. c) Article with major content restrictions; should not be accepted for publication.
  20. The evaluation process usually takes 2 to 5 months.
  21. The article rejection rate in 2019 was 62%.

 

  1. Periodicity

The Processus Multidisciplinary Journal is a scientific, electronic, totally free, open access, semi- annual journal with continuous publication , which receives submissions of unpublished works in continuous flow, in Portuguese, Spanish or English.

The Journal publishes two issues a year, released every semester, which together make up a volume . Each article is published within an issue with its own summary. The publication frequency is biannual, with a number every 6 months:

  • January/June number: continuous publication from January to June
  • July/December number: continuous publication from July to December

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

The PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) provides free preservation services to any OJS journal that meets a basic set of criteria.

This journal uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed filing system among participating libraries and allows them to create permanent journal archives for preservation and restoration.

  1. Copyright Policies

The submission of originals to the Processus Multidisciplinary Journal implies the transfer, by the authors, of the publication rights. The copyright for articles published in this journal is owned by the author, with the journal's rights to the first publication. Authors may only use the same results in other publications clearly indicating the Processus Multidisciplinary Journal as the original publication medium.

8.1. This journal does not charge an article submission fee.

8.2. The journal does not charge reader fees for articles published in it.

 

  1. Publication Ethics and Declaration of Negligence

The Processus Multidisciplinary Journal, ISSN Online: 2675-6595 , is dedicated to complying with good practices with regard to moral conduct consistent with the scientific publishing of journals. Preventing negligence is also a crucial responsibility of the editor and editorial staff: any form of unethical behavior, as well as plagiarism above 25%, is not accepted in the Revista Processus Multidisciplinar. Authors who submit articles to the journal declare that their content is original and guarantee that the work has not been published or is under review/evaluation in any other journal.

We suggest that authors know the COPE guidelines ( Committee on publication Ethics ) on ethical principles in scientific publishing.

 

  1. Ethics Policy and Guidelines for Good Publication Practices

This journal is committed to the ethics and quality of publications, following international standards of scientific publication. We defend ethical behavior from all parties involved in publishing in our journal: authors, editor, reviewers , Editorial Team and the Publisher. We do not accept plagiarism or any other unethical behavior. For this, the guidelines of the 2nd World Conference are followed. on research Integrity , Singapore, July 22-24, 2010.

Editor Duties:

  • Publication decision: the editor is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. The editor is guided by the policies decided by the Editorial Board. These policies must comply with applicable legal requirements regarding defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. For decision making, the editor may consult the Editorial Board and the referees .
  • Transparency and Respect: The editor must evaluate submitted manuscripts without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, nationality, or political philosophy.
  • Confidentiality: the editor and other members of the editorial team must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript, except to reviewers and editorial advisers.
  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: The editor must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a manuscript submitted for own research without the express written consent of the author. The editor must refuse to review manuscripts in which he has conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative or other relationships or links with any of the authors, companies or (possibly) institutions linked to the manuscripts.
  • Involvement and Cooperation in Investigations: The editor must take appropriate action when ethical complaints have been raised regarding a submitted manuscript or published article.

Duties of Reviewers :

  • Contribution to editorial decisions: review by reviewers assists the editor in making editorial decisions and, through communications with the author, can also help the same to improve the article.
  • Punctuality: Any article reviewer who does not feel qualified to review the article or knows that immediate reading will be impossible should immediately notify the editor.
  • Confidentiality: Works received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown or discussed with others.
  • Objectivity standards: opinions must be conducted objectively. Reviewers must express their views clearly and supported by arguments.
  • About sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published works that were not cited by the authors . The reviewer must draw the editor's attention to any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript in question and any other published article of which he or she is personally aware.
  • Disclosure and conflict of interest: privileged information or ideas obtained by the reviewer through reading the manuscripts must be kept confidential and must not be used for personal gain. The reviewer should not evaluate manuscripts in which he has conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative or other relationships or links with any of the authors, companies or institutions linked to the manuscripts.

Authors Duties:

  • General rules: Authors of works that refer to original research must present an accurate account of the work carried out, as well as an objective discussion of its meaning. Supplementary data must be accurately represented in the article. The document must contain sufficient detail and references to allow others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or intentionally inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable.
  • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that the works are entirely original and if they use the work and/or texts of others that this is properly cited. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical editorial behavior and is unacceptable.
  • Multiple or Redundant Publication: An author should not publish manuscripts that essentially describe the same research in more than one journal. Publishing the same article in more than one journal without informing the editors and obtaining their consent constitutes unethical editorial behavior and is unacceptable.
  • About sources: the work of other authors should always be acknowledged. Authors should cite publications that were important in determining the nature of the work reported. Information obtained privately, such as in conversation, correspondence, or discussion with third parties, must not be used or reported without the source's explicit written permission. Information obtained through confidential services, such as manuscript arbitration or grant applications, should not be used without the explicit written permission of the author of the work involved in these services.
  • Authorship: Authorship of the work should be restricted to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. Persons who participated in certain aspects of the research project should be listed as contributors. The lead author must ensure that all appropriate co-authors are included in the article. The lead author must also certify that all co-authors have viewed and approved the final version of the manuscript and that they have agreed to its submission for publication.
  • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: All authors must disclose in the manuscript any financial or other conflicts that could influence the results or the interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.
  • Fundamental Errors in Published Works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his published work, it is the author's obligation to immediately inform the journal editor or the Journal Editors and cooperate with the editor to correct the article.

 

  1. Plagiarism Analysis

The works submitted for evaluation will undergo a technical review for the analysis of plagiarism with the program acquired and licensed by Faculdade Processus the " Plagius - Professional Plagiarism Detector 2.5.4 " The editorial team checks the data. In the case of direct quotations (even when the source is mentioned), the maximum allowed is 25%. In the case of plagiarism or self-plagiarism, the author will be informed that he must refer to the source, the maximum allowed being 25%. Above that, the item is returned, indicating the problem. At this stage, authors have the chance to make the necessary changes and resubmit the article to the Journal for consideration. Cases of plagiarism reported to the Journal after the publication of the articles will be analyzed by the Editorial Committee and, in the event of confirmation of the complaint, the article will be removed from the Journal immediately. Penalties may also apply to authors.
